Notes to Pelle

Funny, heart-warming and moving – a PS, I Love You for children

With full-colour illustrated endpapers by Linde Faas

It’s been a year since 12-year-old Pelle lost his father to cancer. The ‘house borer’ is what he calls the disease, because it’s like a beetle who creeps into your house and eats it up from the inside.

One day, Pelle receives a shoebox full of notes and things that belonged to his dad. The notes are a collection of strange assignments, and Pelle is determined to carry out each and every one of them. This gets him into all kinds of comical and awkward situations, and it also brings new people into his life who help him and his mother to gently start embracing life again…

A heart-warming story about a highly intelligent boy who slowly learns to accept the death of his father, with humour and in his own unique style.
