Stefan Buijsman graduated in philosophy from Leiden University at the age of eighteen. At the age of twenty he obtained his PhD in Sweden with a thesis on how people acquire mathematical knowledge. In Stockholm, he continues to work in this subject area in collaboration with psychologists and educationalists.

Govrien Oldenburger is a journalist. She worked for the weekly children’s newspapers Kidsweek and 7Days for nine years. She also had a column in the art & culture magazine CJP for several years. Recently she started working as a freelance copywriter.

Vanessa Oostijen is a freelance illustrator known for her weekly illustrations in the fashion pages of VolkskrantMagazine. Her ink drawings have adistinctive and often witty style.
