Marilieke Engbers caused a stir with her groundbreaking PhD research on the influence of the unsaid in the boardroom and her book Inside the Supervisory Board (shortlisted for Management Book of the Year 2021). She studied business economics and is an assistant professor at the VU University in Amsterdam.
