Marian De Smet (born 1976) is a nursery school teacher with an itch to write. The children inspired her to create a series of picture books but she has also written longer stories. Her first children’s book, The Words of His Fingers, was awarded first prize by the Flanders Children & Youth Jury.
Mattias De Leeuw studied illustrative design at Sint Lucas School of Arts in Antwerp. He works as a freelance illustrator for magazines, newspapers and publishing houses.
