Jozua Douglas started his career writing poetry and won several prizes for it. He has since been writing for children. Jozua received the Feather in the Cap from the Dutch Children’s Jury for the first two books in his Costa Banana series. Both books were also chosen by the children’s book panel of De Wereld Draait Door (the highest-rated television programme in the Netherlands at the time) as one of the best children’s books of the year. With The Nasty Swim Coach, Jozua won the Hotze de Roos prize. Jozua’s books have been translated into eleven languages and the film rights for the Costa Banana series and The Nasty Swim Coach have been sold.
