Jan Vantoortelboom

Jan Vantoortelboom studied German philology and ended up teaching via a series of detours. His debutThe Sunken Boy was published in 2011. The book was awarded The Bronze Owl 2011 and the Literature Prize of West Flanders in 2012. His Name Is David has sold more than 25,000 copies and was translated into English (World Editions). His most recent novels are The Carrier (2017) and Hunter’s Moon (2019).
