Frank Bloem is perfume maker and scent designer. In 2014 he shifted from visual art to the world of smells. In 2016 this resulted in the funding of perfume lab The Snifferoo. Among other projects, he collected smells of the North Sea and reconstructed the smell of elephants for the Amsterdam zoo. Bloem intends to show how scent is connected to all aspects of life. Scent – The Forgotten Sensation is his debut as an author.
