Author Afran Groenewoud was co-creator of political talk show Politieke Junkies (Political Junkies) and editor-in-chief of newspaper Krant van de Aarde (Newspaper of the Earth). Smelly Farts is his first children’s book.

Tjarko van der Pol works for NRC Handelsblad, De Correspondent and other publications. He makes extremely detailed and imaginative pen drawings of crowds, machines and cities that you can look at for hours. Tjarko produced the illustrations for the successful children’s book The PooFactoryTheme Park, which was sold to Germany, Hungary, China, Taiwan and Korea.
