The ultimate wordless picture book for young children at bedtime
This wordless picture book features a little girl who can’t fall asleep. Her bed isn’t comfortable, so she starts looking for a new one. This adventure leads her to a tree bed, a sky bed in a rocket, and a bunk bed full of friends (a bit crowded!). She even finds herself in an ice-cold igloo bed and a gigantic machine bed that counts sheep. Yet, she still can’t sleep. Perhaps her own bed is the best after all? Or is she already asleep and just dreaming about other beds…?
Tjarko van der Pol is known for his intricate illustrations featuring machines and cross-sections full of details to discover. While telling the tale of a sleepless girl searching for a new bed, Tjarko also recounts the history of the bed in his own unique way.
